8:00 | Spinning Tundra’s Fur

Multidisciplinary work where I interweave my current photo-based and video practice with fibre art. The work is centered around the fur of my late and dearly loved border collie Tundra. The heart of this project is the process of working with his fur as I turn it into chiengora and eventually into a fibre work. I photograph and film the process and the things I see and create with his fur. To me, photography, video and the crafting process interconnect the relationship between seeing, feeling, and remembering and this work reflects on the impermanence and importance of life, mourning and the inevitability of change
